West Scores Double Gold!
West Wines won two “Double Gold” awards at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition held on January 19, 2024! The 2017 West Crest Cuvee and the 2022 West Viognier, both from Dry Creek Valley. The event boasts over 5,500 wine entries from over 1,000 North American wineries, making this a significant achievement for West Wines. We're super excited for our wines to have been recognized in this competition.
Wine Tasting Vine-Side
Bud break is here! It’s a magical time in the vineyard when dormant vines awaken from their winter slumber. There is a special tension between the cool crisp air and the warming rays of the sun. Soak it in on our vine-side patio with a tasting flight of our award-winning wines. We're open Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (5 p.m. on Saturdays) Tastings start at just $30. Complimentary for Compass Club Members.
Passport Weekend
April 26-28: Explore 30+ wineries at Dry Creek Valley's premier event of the year. An exciting array of hand-crafted wines, gourmet food, and fun will be on offer at each participating winery. Meet winemakers and grape growers who are behind the "spirit of Dry Creek Valley." Here at West Wines, “School of Cab” is our theme so so don’t be late! Our tasting room, tucked away under a huge oak and overlooking our vineyards is the place to enjoy a well aged Cabernet Sauvignon and other fine wines. West Wines is a family winery in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County run by Katarina Bonde and Bengt Akerlind since 1998. Our winemaking style weighs heavily on traditional French methods enhancing elegance and complexity combined with the fruity and rich flavors from our estate grown grapes. We have two sustainably farmed vineyards, one creek-side on the valley floor and the other 400 feet up on a ridge with beautiful south and west exposure. Read more here.
