2009 West Crest Cuvee

Extended Description:

This vintage of West Crest Cuvée, our Bordeaux blend combines Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. The grapes grow on west facing slopes high above the valley floor in Dry Creek Valley and enjoy long sunny days. After 2 years of maturing in French oak barrels the wine was bottled and then aged another 2 years. The well-balanced wine will pair nicely with a variety of meals such as steak, chicken, turkey, pork, or a vegetarian casserole. The flavors of West Crest Cuvée remind us of dark plums and cherry as well as some earthier spicy notes of cedar on the palate.
